The APGT
Book Club

A new kind of book club for people
asking big questions about tech.

Tech is transforming our lives. We need a place to talk about what we want to do about it.

Welcome to the APGT Book Club, where we're creating space for exactly those conversations.

We’re partnering with local groups and communities of practice to spark honest, thoughtful discussions around technology — how it’s shaping our lives, our politics, our futures — and how we can shape it right back.

How does it work?

These aren’t your typical book clubs.

We’re building a space for everyday people to dig into the material and political impact of technology in our lives.

Whether you’re excited, confused, frustrated, or just curious — you belong here.

Each APGT Book Club gets a special Book Club Edition
package featuring:

  • Discounted copies of A People’s Guide to AI (2nd Edition)

  • Custom bookmarks

  • A flexible, easy-to-use question guide to help spark meaningful conversations

  • An invitation to a live Zoom session with us — the creators — for deeper engagement, reflections, and open Q&A

Why join?

We believe tech conversations don’t just belong to Silicon Valley or the headlines — they belong to you.
We’re inviting people who want to:

•Make sense of how tech is shaping their daily life

•Host thoughtful, sometimes messy, always human conversations

•Learn from and with their communities

•Take an active role in imagining a better tech future

Whether you’re starting your first book club or joining as part of an existing group, we’ve got your back with tools, support, and access.

What kind of groups can join?

•Friends who want to read and reflect together

•Classrooms looking to deepen discussion

•Community orgs building local power

•Tech-curious folks who are ready for real talk

If your group is curious about how tech intersects with justice, identity, power, and everyday life — we’d love to have you.

Want to get involved?

We’re currently recruiting our first pilot clubs, running through
summer 2025 — and we’ll be opening broader participation soon!
